Oh hey!
I’m Kelsey and I help ambitious women leaders tap into or accelerate their leadership potential while discovering their path and creating an overall healthy relationship with themselves.
But who am I and how did I get here? The inspiration for me to start coaching was born from a place of overcoming challenges early in life and a passion for using these life lessons to inspire and empower women of all ages.
As a teenager, my life was turned upside down when I immediately had to step into a leadership role in my family while I was in a toxic and abusive environment with a family member struggling with drug addiction. I felt lost, confused and unsure of how I was ever going to get to the other side. I had been conditioned to believe that I wasn’t enough.
But I wasn’t about to go down without a fight! And ever since then I’ve wanted to be able to contribute back to the world with a goal of sharing my story with as many people as possible so they could feel some sense of comfort that they are never alone. During this time, I became involved as a volunteer in an organization dedicated to helping troubled youth and teenage girls become strong, motivated women while teaching them about goal setting, self appreciation, and leadership. And this is where my life-long purpose for helping women uncover their path and leadership potential was born.
With these acquired life lessons, I then built a successful career in the tech recruitment industry providing career coaching on a daily basis. I continued on this path for 6+ years while also obtaining my CCF (Certified Coaches Federation) life & executive coaching certification in the process. Before starting Women’s Leadership Accelerator, I was brought in to an AI recruitment start-up for 3 years and helped build this company from the ground up and trained/ coached multiple recruiters into successful careers or promotions. Throughout my experience, I was always working as a leader/ manager in male dominated environments and this is where I noticed a major gap in terms of women in leadership and women understanding their full potential as well. And let's not forget ALL the challenges I had to face being one of the only female leaders like harassment, toxic work environments, trying to have my opinions heard and acknowledged, and positioning myself as an authority while overcoming imposter syndrome + not sacrificing my authentic self (to name a few :P). I had been working hard to put more women into leadership roles for as long as I can remember but recognized that if I stayed in one company, my impact was limited. So, all of these experiences are what led me to finally take a leap of faith and combine my two passions and experience together to coach full time with a mission of lifting the potential of women and creating more female leaders in the world! #womenempoweringwomen.
